The area is also known as home to the Vanlandingham Estate, a historic home built in 1913–1914 and now used as a wedding venue. The Charlotte Country Club is regarded as one of the top 10 private clubs in the U.S. Many golf outings are hosted here, and weddings and other special events take place in the 68,000-square-foot clubhouse.
